Skill Building & Livelihood Empowerment
At Pahal Foundation, we believe that economic independence is a key pillar of empowerment for gender and sexual minority (GSM) communities. Our Skill Building & Livelihood program is designed to provide individuals with the tools, training, and confidence needed to pursue dignified employment and entrepreneurship.
We offer a range of free and certified vocational courses, conducted by trained professionals in a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment. These courses are tailored to the interests and aspirations of community members and include:
- Makeup Artistry
- Hair & Nail Styling
- Mehndi Application
- Spoken English
- Stitching & Sewing
- Basic and Advanced Computer Skills
Our training centers are not just spaces for learning, but also for self-expression, confidence-building, and peer support. Upon completion of the courses, learners are supported with job placement assistance, opportunities to freelance, or start their own micro-enterprises.
Through this program, Pahal Foundation aims to break cycles of economic exclusion and build pathways toward sustainable livelihoods, helping LGBTQ+ individuals move toward financial autonomy and social recognition.
