Social Inclusion and Entitlement Linkages

At Pahal Foundation, social inclusion is at the heart of our mission to build a just and equitable society for gender and sexual minority (GSM) communities. We understand that access to identity, entitlements, and financial services is essential to ensuring dignity, security, and full participation in public life.

Through our Social Inclusion program, we actively support LGBTQ+ individuals—particularly transgender, non-binary, and economically vulnerable persons—in accessing a range of government and financial services. These include:

  • Transgender Identity Cards (TG Cards)
  • Aadhaar Cards
  • Below Poverty Line (BPL) Certificates
  • Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme
  • Linkage to various central and state welfare schemes
  • Opening of bank accounts for financial inclusion
  • Facilitation of post office savings accounts

Our team works in close coordination with government departments, social welfare offices, financial institutions, and legal aid providers to ease documentation processes, reduce stigma, and ensure respectful engagement with public systems.

In addition to these services, Pahal Foundation also provides a wide range of community-led support, including legal aid, skill-building opportunities, livelihood linkages, housing support, and advocacy for policy-level change.

Through these efforts, we aim to create an enabling environment where GSM individuals are not just included, but also empowered to claim their rights, live with dignity, and thrive as equal citizens.
